The makers of the show do not check the backstories of the participants. It came into light when Timothy Poe's sob story about being a war veteran was exposed! Even the photo he used was of a different soldier!
#4 The Exaggeration
Further, they also exaggerated the stories according to their own comfort! In the Untold stories of AGT, someone has mentioned that in exchange of a million views, the makers certainly exaggerate some of the stories to make it the limelight!
#3 The Manipulation
According to some sources, makers even try to manipulate the contestants to manipulate others to bring false reactions for their camera! They want maximum drama for the Television and hence, they allegedly indulge in such manipulations!
#2 Jokes are pre-planned
How many times have the jokes made by the contestants or the judges have literally cracked you up? What if we tell you that all of that is actually rigged to make the show more interesting! Well, it is all done to glam up the show!
#1 Producers are allowed to choose winners
Well, often we feel that some other contestant was more deserving than the one who won the show! It is because the producers have the final say on the choice of winners! And they can choose the winners by any means!
