#8 Difficulty in Urination
Urination is an extremely vital body process. Difficulty in urination is one of the earliest and most common signs of prostate cancer. It is often ignored and people hope the problem to solve itself in a few days. And when it doesn't quite a few forget that it used to be a problem and get accustomed to it. When they do realize it, it is often too late.
If you experience any sort of pain or discomfort when you begin urinating you should seriously consider consulting your doctor. This may be especially acute when urinating in a standing position. Decreased force in your urine stream may also be an indicator. Urination can become extremely painful in later stages if this condition is ignored.

#7 Erectile Dysfunctoin
A rather peculiar issue, erectile dysfunction is the inability of a man to get or maintain an erection for sexual intercourse. In healthy men, it can be most commonly attributed to stress, anxiety, nervousness or may be caused by diabetes or blood pressure medication.
Unable to get an erection once in a while is a common occurrence in adult life. However, if the condition persists, there may be more than just a stressful day at work holding you back.

#6 Discomfort
Another insidious sign of prostate cancer that is often mistaken to not be serious is pain and discomfort in the pelvis, chest, hips and back.
The cancer could be spreading to other parts of the body and the affected parts experience bone damage resulting in the pain. It could also be due to sitting for hours on an enlarged prostate. The pain in the bones may become unbearable as the illness progresses and may even lead to fractures.

#5 Loss of Bladder Control
Bladder control is something everyone acquires quite early in life. Once acquired, it stays throughout life - in healthy men. Frequent loss of bladder or bowel control in men can be an itching sign of prostate cancer.
It is a direct result of the cancer beginning to press on the spinal cord. It may also be accompanied with a feeling of numbness in the legs and/or the feet. Many people suffering from prostate cancer experience this rather unfortunate loss of bladder control during a bout of coughing or heavy laughing.

#4 Blood in Urine or Semen
This one is a distressing symptom and a definite sign of a developed prostate cancer. The presence of blood in the urine otherwise known as haematuria. It becomes extremely difficult for the patient to urinate.
It's not just the urine, blood may also appear in the semen. The result - ejaculation during sexual intercourse becomes very painful.

#3 Inflammation in the Pelvis or the Legs
As the cancer develops, the prostate enlarges and puts pressure on the nerves and blood vessels of the legs and feet. This cause swelling in the legs and the pelvic area. If you happen to have a recurrent swelling in your legs or the pelvic area, the possibility of a considerably progressed prostate cancer cannot be eliminated.

#2 Sensation of a Full Bladder
Difficulty urinating and frequent build-up of pressure in the pelvic area might leave you with the constant sensation of having a full bladder. You will feel the need to visit the restroom frequently.
This condition can, however, be confused with the onset of diabetes - diabetics also need to urinate frequently.

#1 Unexplaine Weight Loss
One of the later signs of prostate cancer is unexplained weight loss. It happens after the disease has progressed to an advanced stage. Patients also develop sores in the mouth making chewing and swallowing very painful - adding to the weight loss.
