#4 Smartness
Bill Gates once said that "If you are born poor its not your mistake, But if you die poor its your mistake." This statement is very true if you put everything in perspective.
If you are smart, nothing can hold you back. This world is divided into two types of people, hard workers and smart workers. Hard workers work their way to success but smart workers climb their way to success on others hard work.
This is the story of Joseph Ziyaee, an Uber driver. Look what he did to become rich.

#3 Joseph Ziyaee
Joseph earned around $90,000 with minimal driving. In fact, in his first month as a Uber driver, he earned around $20,000 through the service and just so that you know, he gave only one ride.
Yes, one ride and $20,000. I know it sounds unrealistic but this is what happened. That one ride wasn't even a 1000 mile long to fetch him so much money.
Then how did he earn so much money? Well, he was a smart worker. He used his smartness for that.
Keep reading ahead to see what exactly he did to earn so much in such less work.

#2 What Did He Do?
As I mentioned earlier, he climbed his way to success on others hard work. He made almost all of his money through the referral bonuses he gets when he signs up other drivers.
Merely by doing this, Ziyaee has earned almost $90,000 in last 6 months only.
How Exactly Does It Work?
Uber has a system where it rewards new driver bonuses to people who sign up for its service and complete a certain number of rides. In case they decide to sign up through another driver's referral code, both parties get a bonus. And therefore, Ziyaee spends a lot of time finding out what areas have the most valuable referral bonuses and at the same time needs most number of drivers. Once he sorts out all of these details, he contacts people of that area online or physically drives there to meet them.
As soon as he finds someone worthy, he starts with the process where he'll walk them through everything, from basic questions with application forms, to assisting with background checks and vehicle issues. And this is how everything happens.
This all happened because of a silly incident in Joseph's life.
Keep reading ahead to know that incident.

#1 That One Silly Incident
This all first happened with a hair-line fracture on his foot that made driving uncomfortable. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him.
Ziyaee says he knew the story Business Insider published about the "King of Uber": a rider named Blake Jareds who earned $50,000 in credit through his referral code. This is how he decided to give this a shot and look how lucky it turned out to be for him.
