The monument is based off the ancient Egyptian technology of using the sun to figure out the time. No that does not mean that the monument is just a high tech sun dial. It means that this spectacular monument takes into consideration the exact coordinates of the sun which sets it apart from any other monument.
The five pillars stand for the five parts of the American military: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Jim Martin, the chief engineer behind this monument and an anthem resident himself made this memorial to show his love and respect for our veterans who risk their lives in the field for us every day.
