Emma Jayne is the awesome artist behind the dress. She is a Cake Designer, who decided to hit two spots with the same arrow. This is not just a normal dress but a sweet delicious dress that is edible. As beautiful as it looks, it is as tasty too. It went viral because it is a wedding cake dress.
Mak Tumang’s intricate “Angelaâ€
Emma surely has the creativity to get this delicious project perfectly done. She took the inspiration for the dress design form the Filipino fashion designer Mak Tumang’s intricate “Angela†gown. It would have been illegal to copy the dress but the dress would soon be eaten by the people on a wedding, so that is not going to be a problem.
Sweet confectionary is not wearable
But it isn’t as easy as it seems as the dress is not quite the size to wear. Its frosting and everything is very hot for the human body which is why the sweet confection is not considered wearable. It weights too much then what it looks.
The confectionary is quite heavy
It is made of 132 pounds of fondant and 110 pounds of modeling paste for the flowers. It took Emma Jayne 10 long days to make that dress. She made it at her place where the entryway is wide enough to move the dress confectionary out when it is complete. It is very huge and it took 6 people to lift it.

This art cake was made for the edible art show off at London’s cake international. It is a trade show that gives an opportunity for creative artists to come to show their talent and get prices. Emma said We were asked to choose a wedding dress designer and make a cake based on one of the wedding dresses. I was asked to make the only life-size wedding dress and chose Mak Tumang as his designs stopped me in my tracks. They are simply incredible."
Stunning dress
For her surprise, Man had made an appearance at the trade show and he was quite cool and even posted a picture with the dress. Maybe he knows that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Emma has made it stunning even in the details. The Preciosa crystal beading on the confectionary made it look more sparkling.
