#6 Security check
Social media often becomes a point of argument when it comes to security and safety of a user. If handled carelessly, Social media can ruin someone's life. To avoid any such situation, Facebook released a tool called 'security checkup' that guides users through a checklist aimed at making their account more secure. This includes logging out of Facebook on web browsers and apps they are not using. It solves most of our security related problems.

#5 Spruce up your pictures
We live in the world of selfies where people like to click and show it to the world. In a very smart move of Facebook, it allows you to spruce your photos now by adding text and quirky stickers, such as drawings of scuba gear, sunglasses or a corn dog.
Highly possible that you might just not know about this feature as this tool is available only on iPhones but is coming soon to Android devices. To use it, choose a photo to upload and click the magic wand icon. Then select the sticker you want.

#4 How not to make everything a public announcement
Certain people have this habit of posting everything on Facebook. Right from Birthday parties to Engagement ceremony, they like to put up everything. But Fast-forward a few years for some couples, and the glory fades, not to mention the love and marriage. In this case, you might not want to announce the irreversible breakdown to 450 of your closest friends.
So Facebook has a solution. Go to your profile and click on the 'about' section, then 'family and relationships on the left'. Under relationship, you'll see a gray icon that probably says 'friends', or maybe 'public'. Change it to 'only me'. This way, only you can see that.

#3 Manage notifications for individual posts
Managing notifications for multiple posts at the same time can pose several problems. You can turn off notifications for individual posts by clicking on the globe icon on the top right corner of your web browser, then on the 'X' next to the individual notification. Problem solved.

#2 One-time password
This feature by Facebook helps you in securing your account. Its important to be secured from hackers. If you don't feel comfortable typing in your password on a shared machine that might have malicious software, Facebook lets you request a temporary one by texting 'OTP' to 32665.
By doing this, You'll get an eight-character passcode that works for the next 20 minutes and cannot be reused. Problem solved.

#1 Add a pronunciation guide
Now here's a little piece of information we bet you don't know. More than 83% of Facebook's users are outside of the US and Canada, and they use over 80 languages to communicate with friends and family. That's a lot of people, and a lot of different ways to say your name.
You can add your own pronunciation guide. To add a pronunciation guide, go to the 'about' section of your profile and click on 'details about you', (called 'more about you' on mobile) then 'name pronunciation'.
