#10 Graham the Safety Measure
Road Safety authorities make several steps in order to stop road accidents and also try to prevent it at a great rate. The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) of Australia has created this road safety campaign in which a unique and slightly different human being is created in order to withstand road accidents.
Graham is the name given to this road safety man who has totally different physical attributes from top to bottom. Designed by sculptor Patricia Piccinini, a leading trauma surgeon and a road safety engineer too, Graham features many different characteristics as compared to a normal human being.
#9 The Nippled Ribs
While a normal man has two sets of nipples in the body. Piccinni has specially designed Graham with several nipples on the ribs. Several nipples on the ribs act as a natural set of airbags in order to withstand the car crash without feeling much damage to the body.
#8 Brain with Extra Set of Ligaments
The moment you bear the sight of Graham, the one thing that amazes is his big skull featuring more fluid and extra set of ligaments. The whole idea of making skull big with more ligaments is to support the brain whenever a car collision occurs.
#7 A Flat Face
Whenever a car accident hits your face, your nose, eyes or lips are the first organs that are severely damaged. In order to protect such delicate organs on the face, Graham’s face is designed flat with a lot of fatty tissue appearing at the front.
Some more body parts of Graham are designed in a manner to withstand the crash.
#6 Skull is Designed quiet Big
Whenever a car hits the skull, it simply fractures the bone and can make one feel unconscious. In order to avoid this, Graham’s head is designed big much like a helmet in order to absorb the crumble.
#5 Flexible Knees of Graham
Keeping all the legs injuries in mind, sculptor Piccinini has designed Graham’s knees to move in all direction.
#4 The Braced Neck
It has been observed that much pressure on the head due to some crash can equally damage the neck attached to it. In order to avoid this, Graham’s neck is specially designed with a brace like structure in order to feel the extreme pressure of crash without letting the skull and the spinal cord to suffer.
#3Thick and Tough Outer Skin
Bruises and cuts are common phenomenon of road accidents that can be dangerous at times. To avoid this, outer of skin of Graham is designed thick and string in order to withstand the road rash abrasions.
This unusual creation also features strong legs.
#2 Extra Joint Legs
Often legs hurt due to the impact of the crash or running away from the speeding car. Therefore, the designer has designed Graham’s legs with added joints in order to jump a long way and avoid any sort of crash.
